The pictures of Mehmet Kismet are meant as an insight view of his history. The width of the desert, a sear lake, dilapidated sheds, poor houses or an open gate of an cemetery – these subjects offers the observer the opportunity to have the vantage point of the artistr and leave enough room for interpretation. In 1982 Kismet founded the "Groupe FOG" that strongly affected the photography in Turkey especially their vision for social projects. In 2003 he also establish the "Centre of Photography Istanbul". No doubt, Kismet will impact arbitrative on the development of Turkish Art Collection.
